My general research interests include producing computational models, analyzing corpora, and conducting behavioral experiments in order to examine the human mind's implicit knowledge of uncertainty in the environment, and its effects on the interface between learning, language, and cognition. More specifically, I am currently fascinated by the adaptive reciprocal social inference processes involved in efficient information transmission among agents with asymmetrical knowledge spaces. By applying Bayesian models, game- and information-theoretic approaches, and network analysis, I hope to develop a better understanding of pedagogy, communication, and cultural evolution.
Previously I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester in 2018, majoring in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, Linguistics, and Statistics, and minoring in Computer Science. During my time there, I primarily conducted research with Steve Piantadosi (colala) and Florian Jaeger (HLP Lab).
